"Iran has contacted us," Trump continues threats: It won't be
Donald Trump

United States President Donald Trump stated from the White House that several countries have offered support for the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports, but stressed that Washington does not need foreign help.

" We don't need other countries, frankly, but they have offered their services ," Trump told reporters, adding that details on these offers could be made public soon.

His statements come just hours after the US officially imposed a naval blockade on Iran and after the failure of weekend negotiations in Pakistan to reach an agreement between the two countries.

Trump confirmed that his administration has received contact from the Iranian side, stressing that Tehran is “very eager to make a deal.” However, he stressed that the main obstacle remains Iran’s nuclear program.

" We agreed on many things, but they did not agree on this. Iran will not have nuclear weapons," he declared, adding that if this point is not accepted, then "there will be no agreement ."

The US president also warned of consequences if a deal is not reached by the end of the two-week ceasefire announced earlier. "It's not going to be nice for them," he said, without giving further details.

In previous statements, Trump had warned of even harsher measures, including attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure, while emphasizing that the outcome of the negotiations is not decisive for the American position.

Another priority announced by the president is the recovery of the enriched uranium that is in Iran. "We will take it back. Either we will take it from them, or we will take it ourselves," he said.

Trump argued that the naval blockade is aimed at stopping what he called Iran's "blackmail" of the international community. He added that the United States does not depend on the Strait of Hormuz for energy supplies, noting that the country has abundant oil and gas resources.

The US president also stated that many countries are turning to the US for energy supplies, while expressing his belief that the situation can be resolved before the end of the current deadline.

However, recent developments indicate an increase in tensions, while it remains unclear whether diplomatic efforts will lead to an agreement or a further escalation of the conflict.
