Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor, John Bolton, has raised the alarm that the US may withdraw military troops from Kosovo and the Balkans.
In an interview with international media, Bolton also criticized Europe's unjustified stance against the Iran war, saying that the US could withdraw aid to Ukraine.
"NATO is in danger, I understand why they are not happy with the way he is treating them. They have to be very careful not to make dangerous and unilateral decisions. For example, when Kaja Kallas and Keir Starmer say that Iran is not their war, I think firstly it is a European war, secondly do not allow or open the door so that Donald Trump says, 'ok, if you think Iran is not a European war, I can also tell you that Ukraine is not a United States war'."
The next step could be to stop providing intelligence information to Ukraine and also not be able to sell weapons of recent years to European countries. Is there a chance that the US will withdraw troops from Europe? I think there is always a chance that such a thing will be done as long as Donald Trump is in the White House.
"I know there has been some discussion about withdrawing American troops from small Balkan countries. That idea could spread if his mood deteriorates. We should not do what the Soviet Union did during the Cold War," Bolton said.
