Italy continues to be under the power of bad weather.
Due to the landslide, seventy tourists were forced to leave a hotel in the popular mountain area of Cortina d'Abezzo, in the northern region of Veneto.
In Trieste, due to strong wind and heavy rain, the city center is flooded. Many residents and tourists ran to cafes and shops to avoid being swept away by the wind.
In the northwestern region of Piedmont, and more specifically in the cities of Asti, Vercelli, Novara and Alessandria, after the heavy rains of the last twenty-four hours, firefighters continue to clear the streets of more than two hundred tree trunks uprooted by the strong wind . At the same time, today it snowed in the Sestriere area - which is located at an altitude of two thousand meters - and the temperature dropped to two degrees.
During the next day, heavy rain is expected in the wider areas of Rome, Florence, Naples, as well as in Calabria. Due to the fall of rocks, Italy-France train journeys have been suspended.
