Israel bombs the Gaza Strip, 71 victims and dozens injured in the last 24 hours!

Israeli shelling over the past 24 hours has left at least 71 people dead and dozens more injured in the Gaza Strip.

At least 34 airstrikes by the IDF were recorded. This is reported by Al Jazeera, citing the government of the Strip, led by Hamas.

Heavy attacks have been reported across the besieged enclave, including the so-called al-Mawasi humanitarian zone and the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, which has been bombed repeatedly in recent days.

"Israeli airstrikes targeted civilians and infrastructure in horrific crimes that added to the sad record of the occupation," Hamas denounced.

The Hamas police chief and his deputy were also killed in yesterday's (January 2) bombings. And today, Israel announced that a missile launched from Yemen, by the Houthi rebels, crossed the border.

"A missile was identified passing from Yemen into Israeli territory. Interceptors headed for the target, details are being examined," a statement on the army's Telegram channel said, without giving further details of the damage.

But on the other hand, the Israeli Air Force carried out four more airstrikes against targets south of Aleppo, in Syria, on their third war front.

This is reported by the Syrian state television. Broadcaster al-Mayadeen reported that weapons factories belonging to the ousted regime of Bashar al-Assad were hit in the raid, informs 'La Repubblica'.

The foreign ministers of France and Germany have also arrived in Damascus, as part of peace talks and the establishment of a new government after the departure of Assad, the former president who fled to Russia on December 8.
