The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had struck several Hezbollah rocket launch sites in southern Lebanon this morning.
According to an official IDF statement, the operation "dismantled Hezbollah military facilities and other infrastructure" where the group had recently operated.
Israeli authorities stressed that the presence of these missile launch sites constitutes a violation of existing agreements between Israel and Lebanon, adding that the military actions were aimed at eliminating threats to Israel's security.
According to the IDF, the operation was planned "months in advance" and approved by Israeli political leaders.
On the other hand, so far there has been no official reaction from Hezbollah or the Lebanese authorities regarding these attacks.
