Israeli warplanes have struck a radar site in northern Iran following a phone call between President Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.
Earlier, Trump called on Israel not to carry out attacks on Iran in retaliation for Tehran violating the ceasefire.
The Israeli prime minister addressed Trump, saying he could not call off the strike and that it was necessary because, according to him, Iran violated the ceasefire. However, Netanyahu said the attack would be significantly scaled back and would hit only one target.
Later reports in Iranian media announced that the attacks had hit Babolsar, a coastal city on the Caspian Sea north of Tehran.
