Israel has resumed airstrikes on Tehran today...
The Islamic Republic of Iran News Network, part of Iran's state television broadcaster, says it has been attacked by Israel, Reuters reports. The news comes just days after threats made earlier today by Israel's defense minister, who said the state broadcaster was "ready to disappear."
"Iranian state television and radio are on the verge of extinction. The megaphone of Iranian propaganda and incitement is about to disappear. The evacuation of nearby residents has begun," said Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz.
The headquarters of Iran's state broadcaster, IRIB, is within the evacuation zone and, following calls from Israel, the offices should have been vacated to avoid casualties from the attacks. Iran's state-run newspaper, Hamshahri, says several employees of the state broadcaster were killed in Israeli airstrikes that targeted the IRIB news channel.

Recall that Israel has resumed airstrikes in Tehran today, mainly hitting the eastern and western areas of the Iranian capital, where powerful explosions are currently being reported. Among the areas hit are Chitgar, the giant Iranmal shopping mall, Shahrak Bagheri and the surroundings of the Olympic neighborhood.
Meanwhile, many residents of Tehran's District 3 have fled the city, following an evacuation warning issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
