Six people have been killed after an Israeli air strike on a school run by the UNRWA aid agency, part of the UN, in Gaza.
The organization said dozens more were injured, including UNRWA staff, and "severe structural damage" was caused to the school in the al-Maghazi refugee camp.
" The numbers are likely to be higher. About 4,000 people have taken shelter in the school ," said an official of the organization.
The agency called the attack "brutal" and showing "a blatant disregard for civilian life."
" No place is safe in Gaza, not even UNRWA facilities ," she added.
The Israeli attack on Gaza is breaking all the rules of war, they are attacking hospitals, schools and refugee camps. In just two weeks of attacks, it is reported that 940 children have died from Israeli attacks in Gaza. Meanwhile, 1,032 women have been killed since October 7, when Israel launched its attacks.
Earlier, the Palestinian health ministry said at least 3,000 people had been killed in Gaza and another 12,500 wounded. Attacks still continue and the conflict appears to be far from over.
