The West started pressure on Belgrade and demanded that those responsible be brought to justice. But as usual, the Serbian president, who is known for his 'two-door game', took a 180-degree turn, aligning himself with old allies China-Russia.

In a statement to Serbian journalists in Beijing, where he is participating in the "Belt and Road" international economic and political forum, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, admitted that he had a brief meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, who is sanctioned by most Western states and wider.

Vucic seemed very excited about the meeting, as he added that Putin radiated positive energy. According to him, the meeting between them did not last long as the Russian president had long talks with Chinese President Xi and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Vucic also emphasized that he had an extremely friendly conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping, on all important topics. As he said, there was talk about Kosovo and Metohija, respect for international legal norms and what Serbia is going through, as well as the application of double standards, non-respect of the UN Charter and Resolution 1244.

"We encountered the understanding of our Chinese friends. We also talked about other things that we need. From cooperation in all areas of the economy, to military-technical cooperation," said Vucic, adding that at the moment Serbia has no one else to take from. more modern and sophisticated weapons.

He added that there was also talk about the infrastructural connection and the increase in the number of Chinese investments. Vucic reiterated that the free trade agreement, which was signed in Beijing, could enter into force in June next year.
