"Ukraine's path to NATO may end with the disappearance of that country or the Alliance," said the Deputy President of Russia's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev today.
In a post on Platform X, Medvedev cited a provision from the NATO summit statement in Washington that states the Alliance is committed to supporting Ukraine on its path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, which includes NATO membership.
"The conclusion is clear. We must do everything so that Ukraine's "irreversible path" to NATO ends either with the disappearance of Ukraine or the disappearance of NATO, or even better, both," Medvedev wrote.
