Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day, in which he expresses his complete loyalty.
"Kim Jong-un expressed full support, solidarity and willingness to build closer strategic ties with Russia," state media KCNA said.
The North Korean leader also said that friendly relations between his country and Russia are a "valuable strategic asset" and Pyongyang will make every effort to develop such cooperative ties.
We recall that, in another letter addressed to his Russian counterpart, Kim expressed warm greetings to Putin, the Russian army and the Russian people for their struggle to realize international justice and protect global peace against the so-called "imperialists".
He also said that under Putin's leadership, Russia will destroy all challenges and threats posed by hostile forces and will prevail in its quest to ensure the country's sovereignty, dignity and regional stability.
North Korea is one of the few countries to show full support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine as it blames the United States and the West for the war.
