Although the Kremlin claims that Russian forces have so far pushed back Ukrainian troops in their counteroffensive to retake territory, a strong voice close to President Putin says otherwise.
Wagner's boss, Prigozhin, who in recent months has been the biggest critic of the leaders of the Russian army, says that Zelensky's troops have advanced at least 6-7 km in the last few days.
"The towns of Neskuchne and Blagodatnoye are already under their control. The village of Storozhevoye has also been captured by Kiev, and from there the enemy is heading towards the village of Makarovka. On the other bank of the Mokry Yaly river, the enemy is attacking our troops in the village of Urozhaynoye", said Prigozhin.
Meanwhile, Russian troops have blown up another water collection dam in the Donetsk region.
It is about the dam built on the Mokry Yaly river, the damage of which has caused major floods on both sides of the coast.
Even this movement of the Ukrainian troops is explained by the last efforts of the invaders to stop the counter-offensive which is already marking the first results.
