Slowly but surely it is becoming clear to everyone that Vučić no longer has legitimacy and it will be much harder for European officials to claim that they "didn't know" what was happening in Serbia.
It is never good when instability is highlighted abroad, but the European public is interested in events in Serbia, especially the intellectual elite.
This is what the Serbian media 'Danas' writes in an editorial where the emphasis is placed on the fact that President Aleksandar Vučić no longer has the legitimacy to lead and manage Serbia.

"It has been made known at the highest diplomatic levels that his time was up, so now they are announcing it publicly. This means that slowly but surely it is becoming clear to everyone that Vučić no longer has the legitimacy to manage society, and it will be much more difficult for European officials to claim that they "didn't know" what was happening."
This is what Danas' interlocutors say in response to the question of the day regarding the fact that European media are increasingly writing about the regime's repression in Serbia.
Miloš Jovanović, the president of the New DSS, believes that these are yet another catastrophic and harmful consequence in the series of those caused by Aleksandar Vučić's strange regime.
"It is never good when abroad the emphasis is placed on the instability of Serbia. This is essentially bad for all of us and essentially complicates the fight to protect all of our national interests. Oh God, here we are, but we will still have to learn to solve our problems exclusively ourselves in the future, not paying attention and not being satisfied if someone writes something to the parties," Jovanovic told Danas.
And Miroslav Parović, founder of the People's Freedom Movement, emphasizes that the European public is interested in events in Serbia, especially the intellectual elite.

“European politicians are corrupt and alienated from the people, so they make personal business combinations with Vučić and therefore support him and keep him in power. Therefore, it is a kind of cosmic justice that Ursula von der Leyen, Macron and the rest of Trump’s company sat in the same chairs with Vučić at that time. I believe that in the end they got some key chains or fridge magnets in the shape of the White House key,” he explains.
While Filip Tatalovic, a DS MP, says that our society is so divided and sensitive to propaganda that when we read in the pages of any press that black is black and white is white, we should immediately ask ourselves "why are they writing this".

"The most important thing is that both articles contain the full truth. The headline in Le Monde is "The Strategy of Fear" and the text fully explains what is happening in Serbia. Now it will be much more difficult for European officials to claim that they "didn't know" what was happening in Serbia, as they did so far when they wanted to look through Vučić's fingers," he tells Danas.
For Robert Kozma, a ZLF MP, this means that it is slowly but surely becoming clear to everyone that Vučić no longer has the legitimacy to manage society.

"He usurped and destroyed the institutions and now the only thing left for him is naked force and violence, the abuse of the police apparatus and the involvement of criminals in an attempt to buy additional time in power and protect his corrupt deals. In recent weeks, the domestic and international public witnessed the unnecessary escalation of violence and torture by the regime against citizens, which as a rule would always be preceded by attacks by criminals on citizens, beatings and random arrests of students, youth, citizens and foreigners. Any silence in such scenes would essentially mean collaboration with the regime," Kozma tells Danas.
He believes it is good that foreign media paid more attention to Serbia and did not fall prey to the regime's story of a possible civil war, because this is not about that, but about the violence of the police and criminals against citizens, as well as the reaction of citizens to violence and a usurped state.

Ivan Kostic, the president of Dveri, says it is clear that some Western countries saw that Vucic no longer has the support of the majority of the people and are slowly distancing themselves from him, even though France, Germany and the United Kingdom have been his biggest supporters so far due to the big deals they have made with him.
"It has been learned at the highest diplomatic levels that his time has expired, so now they are announcing it publicly. What is most important for us is to give absolute support to the student and national movement in their demand to call extraordinary elections, which are the most legitimate way for this criminal SNS regime to pass into the political past," Kostic emphasizes. /Adapted from Pamphlet by Danas/
