Pope Francis has called today to increase health care for the wounded in Gaza, guarantee the protection of civilians and send more humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, he called for the release of hostages held by Hamas, Reuters reported. Pope Francis has again called for an end to the fighting in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, saying that every human being has the right to live in peace.
"Let the guns be silent, they will never bring peace, and do not spread conflict. Enough, enough brothers, enough," said Pope Francis after today's prayer.
He pointed out that every human being, whether Christian, Jew, Muslim, of any religious faith, is holy and precious in the eyes of God and has the right to live in peace.
