Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, said that Iran will respond to any attack coming from Israel, thus threatening to expand the conflict.
According to him, Iran reserves the inherent legitimate right to take all necessary measures to respond to any threat or attack coming from the Israeli regime against its country.
Iravani, in a letter addressed to the President of the United Nations Security Council Yamazaki Kazuyuki and the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, rejected the accusations from Israel, underlining that the Israeli regime used lies, spread disinformation and made baseless accusations.
" Iran reaffirms the inherent right of the Syrian Arab Republic and Lebanon, under international law, to take all necessary measures in response to any threat or attack and act of aggression by the Israeli regime against their sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity ," he said.
