At the meeting in Luxembourg, EU foreign ministers decided to increase funds for the supply of weapons and equipment to Ukraine and other partner countries by another 3.5 billion euros. Specifically, Monday's decision increased the financial ceiling for the so-called European Peace Facility to around 12 billion euros.
This EU financial instrument was created before the start of the war in Ukraine to provide military support to partner countries and was initially allocated only about 5 billion euros for the period 2021-2027
