Mossad agents reportedly obtained details from inside the Iranian government regarding the location of Khamenei's meeting, the time, and the people who would attend. Iran's top leadership was scheduled to attend a meeting inside the presidential complex at 9:00 a.m. local time on Saturday.
Although according to experts, such attacks are usually carried out at night, after receiving information, Israel changed the initial plan and launched the attack immediately on Saturday morning.
According to Israeli media, his body was found in the ruins of the presidential complex building.
Information about Khamenei's elimination is still in its early stages, while regarding the involvement of Mossad, as an analysis by "The Jerusalem Post" promises, when all the details are revealed "jaws will drop," emphasizing that dictatorships are overthrown from within.

The American intelligence agency had been following Khamenei for months, creating a complete picture of his movements and routine, according to sources familiar with the operation.
Then, the agents learned that a meeting of senior Iranian officials would be held on Saturday morning at a leadership compound in the heart of Tehran. More importantly, the CIA received information that the supreme leader would be present in the area.
This information created a window of opportunity for both countries to achieve an important and early objective: the elimination of senior Iranian figures and the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei.
Israel, using American and its own intelligence, executed an operation it had been planning for months: the targeted assassination of Iran's top leaders.
The meeting was scheduled to be held in the complex that houses the offices of the Iranian presidency, the supreme leader, and the National Security Council.
Israel was aware that senior Iranian defense figures would attend the meeting, including Revolutionary Guard Commander Mohammad Pakpour and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh.
The operation began at around 6:00 a.m. in Israel, when fighter jets took off from their bases. The attack required relatively few aircraft, but they were armed with long-range, high-precision munitions.
