Israel has made a new announcement to the residents of Gaza in Khan Younis in the south of the territory to leave that place and go further to the West.
Last night, Mark Regev, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told MSNBC that Israel was asking residents to relocate, but added: "I know it's not easy for them. but we do not want to see civilians remaining inside the areas where there is fighting" .
Thousands of Gazans fled north to southern areas, including Khan Younis, after being ordered to leave. But the south has also continued to be under Israeli bombardment.
Three days after Israel dropped leaflets warning people to leave Khan Younis, another warning to evacuate the city has been issued.
Khan Younis is the largest city in southern Gaza - where hundreds of thousands of people fled after being told to evacuate the north.
As the humanitarian crisis worsens in the overcrowded city, Israel's warnings suggested military operations there were imminent.
Mark Regev, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told US media that while Israeli troops would have to go into the city to destroy Hamas tunnels and bunkers, residents in Khan Younis could move west, "Where we hope they will to have tents and a hospital".
" I'm pretty sure they won't have to move anymore " if they move west, he said.
