What can push a minister who has just come to office and whose mission is assumed to be precisely the citizens and their service, the order, the streets, to behave or order, as the police claimed, the blocking of a national axis with such delirium and arrogance.. .
The former Minister of Justice Eduard Halimi has denounced this afternoon a scandalous case, with the protagonist of the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha.
The minister was in the Southeast and hundreds of cars were blocked on the Korçë-Pogradec axis, because the minister's escort was going to pass. As can be seen in the video, the cars are blocked on one side of the road.
The former minister described it as an unprecedented act, which, according to him, shows a lack of respect and arrogance towards the citizens. He points out that in other countries a public official who blocks national roads to pass with an escort would immediately face harsh criticism and possibly even resignation. According to Halim, the road is not blocked even when the Prime Minister and the President pass by.
Halim's full reaction
Today, around 3:00 p.m., the Korçë - Pogradec national axis was blocked just for the Minister of the Interior to pass with his long police escort! Hundreds of cars and buses in line were blocked on a national axis, as an unprecedented act that shows a total lack of respect for citizens and unimaginable arrogance!
I don't know this guy who was appointed a minister a few weeks ago, but I know a lot in these 32 years of democracy from the 7 presidents, 6 prime ministers (including the current one who passes every day on the same road that I take to work) and the 25 ministers of internal, but with conviction in no case, have they witnessed such a level of madness, arrogance, irresponsibility and provisionalism in a national axis without any intersection, crossing or danger away from any accident to the accompanying motorcade!
In Europe, in any normal country with a basic democracy, such an action would be a national scandal. In Germany, Italy, Greece, France or Britain, a public official blocking national roads to pass with an escort would immediately face harsh criticism and possibly resignation.
What can push a minister who has just come to office and whose mission is presumed to be precisely the citizens and their service, the order, the streets, to behave or order, as the police claimed, the blocking of a national axis with such delirium and arrogance as if were the most provincial country and a "banana republic"?
The stories of former arrogant SP interior ministers can help him, but he can also easily ask those who have more political experience!
Video of the incident is below for anyone to judge for themselves. Albania and its citizens deserve much more than these guys who are entrusted with the task of governing the country!
