Donald Trump has banned several other countries from visiting the US, including Syria and Palestine. It comes as he prepares to give a mysterious speech tonight.
Trump, who has previously imposed strict bans on other countries, has expanded his program, this time barring foreigners who "intend to threaten" Americans, according to White House sources. He also wants to prevent foreign nationals born in the United States who would "undermine or destabilize our culture, government, institutions or fundamental principles."
The countries that were newly subjected to partial restrictions, in addition to Nigeria, are Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Malawi, Mauritania, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Previously, the ban included Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, and tightened restrictions on visitors from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
