The battle on Ukraine's eastern front is reaching a tipping point. But the Russian army seems to be having trouble supplying ammunition, which after almost a year and a half of war seems to be running out.

Since the military cannot function without ammunition, the Russian Defense Minister told workers at a military plant in the Tula region to intensify production without rest. Sergei Shoigu even recently traveled to North Korea to persuade Pyongyang to sell ammunition to Russia.

" Any arms deal between Korea and Russia would violate a number of UN Security Council resolutions. We are carefully monitoring the situation and call on North Korea to cut off negotiations with Russia and abide by public commitments not to sell weapons to Moscow ," said John Kirby, spokesman for the US National Security Council.

Meanwhile, Russian authorities have stated that Tuesday's drone attack on Peskov Airport will not go unanswered.
