The Israeli ambassador to Russia, Alexander Ben Zvi, said that Israel is able to continue hostilities for a long time and the country's economy is ready for this.
"The economy is ready for prolonged war. The fact remains: there is no other way, the war continues. We will fight. The economic factor will not have any impact on our determination to carry out combat actions," the diplomat said.
Meanwhile, Israeli attacks continue throughout the Gaza Strip. Several Palestinians were killed and others injured this morning following an Israeli attack targeting the vicinity of the UNRWA al-Mazraa school in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
Israeli airstrikes targeted a house in al-Brahma area in Rafah. The neighborhoods of al-Shujaiya, al-Tuffah and al-Daraj in Gaza City were also targeted by Israeli forces.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces launched airstrikes targeting al-Masry and Sarhan area in al-Manara neighborhood in Khan Younis.
A day earlier, the Israeli army has admitted that it accidentally killed three hostages during an operation in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza.
At least 59 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the Israel-Hamas war began more than two months ago.
