The war in Ukraine, EU Foreign Ministers meet today in Kiev

The Foreign Ministers of the European Union (EU) have arrived in Kiev for the first meeting of the 27 member states ever held outside the EU. 

"We are convening a historic meeting of EU foreign ministers here in Ukraine, the candidate country and future member of the EU. We are here to express our solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people" , writes the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell on social networks. 

The announcement of the meeting was not made earlier for security reasons.
