A serious incident occurred today in Trikala, Greece. Greek media have revealed new details about the circumstances and the triggers of the incident.
According to information, the 18-year-old suffocated his mother with a towel while she was sitting carelessly on the couch watching television and then reported the serious crime to the police.
A few minutes before the murder, the boy was sitting next to her, who, getting up and without saying anything, went to the bathroom, took a towel and wrapped it around the 54-year-old's neck, until she fainted.
The 18-year-old, who lived with his father after his parents divorced, allegedly had frequent arguments with his mother because he allegedly disapproved of her actions and behavior. After his mother's murder, the young man, with the same calmness, called the police and told them what he had done.
"Come and arrest me," he said.
Police forces immediately rushed to the house and found the unfortunate woman dead, while arresting her son. At the same time, the forensic medical service of Larissa was notified and photographic material was immediately sent to the head of the service, who, based on the marks observed around the neck, confirms, in principle, death by drowning, informs “Protothema”.
The marks confirm the 18-year-old's description of how he killed the woman who gave birth to him.
The young man does not have psychiatric problems and has not shown any in the past, while the police investigation is continuing to determine the motives that led to the murder and the circumstances that prevailed between mother and son.
