Russian media: Serbia is being threatened because of the arrest of three
Aleksandar Vucic

The Russian media RIA Novosti writes that the Serbian authorities are receiving threats from abroad, for the detention of Kosovo policemen. The media writes that three Kosovo policemen were arrested in the territory of central Serbia.

According to the text, the Serbian authorities have reported that they were detained by members of the anti-terrorist unit (SAJ) within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia. On Friday, a court in Kraljevo gave them 30 days of detention "on the suspicion of possession of weapons without a permit".

" I can't sleep at night, literally physically. I have not told anyone what threats were made to Serbia after the arrest of three Kosovo policemen. I have been told that the threats will be carried out on Friday, Saturday, Monday if they are not released. I have personally met them. I told them not to condemn my country. They are saying that we are not releasing them, that they are beaten, hurt, all bruised, half of the European media have reported it, they are lying, no one has touched them, they drink Coca-Cola, eat sweets, grapes, peaches, whatever they want. We can tell you. But we are still villains and savages ," said the Serbian president.

The situation in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo continues to be tense since May 26, where the Serbs for days continue to oppose the new Albanian mayors of the municipalities in the north from entering the municipal buildings. Tensions escalated on May 29, when KFOR troops clashed physically with Serbian protesters. The situation worsened even further on June 14 after the arrest of three Kosovo policemen in the north of the country by Serbia. The operatives appeared before the Serbian court and were detained for 30 days. The High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, after the arrest of three policemen announced an urgent meeting in Brussels between Albin Kurti and Aleksandër Vucic, to resolve the crisis. The President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic, has refused to participate in the meeting set by Borrell, while the Prime Minister of Kosovo is still undecided.
