Extremists linked to the Islamic State group, ISIS, have killed about 40 people at a school in western Uganda, where most of them are students.
In addition to those killed, ISIS also kidnapped several girls, while eight wounded are in critical condition.
According to the authorities, the Allied Democratic Force, which is based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is responsible for the macabre attack, the BBC writes.
Meanwhile, about five suspected Allied Democratic Forces rebels carried out the attack, burning school buildings and looting a food store, Uganda's military said.
Some of the bodies are said to be badly burned and DNA tests will need to be carried out to identify them.
