A rehearsal for a military display in Malaysia ended in tragedy when two of the participating navy helicopters collided mid-air and crashed. As a result of the accident, the 10 people who were on board lost their lives.
As can be seen in the videos that recorded the moment of the accident, one of the two helicopters hit the rear propeller of the other, causing them to go out of control and eventually crash.
According to the BBC, the accident happened near the city of Lumut, where a naval base is located. One of the two seven-person HOM M503-3 helicopters crashed in a field, while the second, a three-person Fennec M502-6, crashed into a pool in the area.
As the Malaysian Navy announced, "all the passengers of the two helicopters lost their lives and their bodies have been sent to Lumut Base Hospital for identification."
