A cocaine trafficking ring in Spain has been dismantled by police, with 30 people arrested.
2.5 kg of cocaine were seized in the operation. The criminal group imported large quantities of drugs to Spain and Colombia, using groups of young swimmers to transport the cargo onto moving ships.
The investigation began in October 2024, when police found 88kg of cocaine in a vehicle in the southern Spanish town of Mijas.
This action led authorities to uncover three criminal groups, including a Balkan cartel, who were working together to transport large quantities of cocaine from Colombia to Spain.
Spanish authorities have continued their investigations as authorities believe the network had the potential to traffic even larger quantities of drugs into the European market.
