US President Joe Biden said today that a ceasefire is possible "tomorrow" in the war between Israel and Hamas, if the Palestinian movement releases the hostages it is holding.

"There would be a ceasefire tomorrow if Hamas releases the hostages," Biden said at an event near Seattle, in the US northwest.

Last Thursday, another round of indirect talks aimed at a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, after seven months of fighting, ended without an agreement in Cairo.

Meanwhile, the deterioration of relations between the United States and Israel continues, after Tel Aviv's refusal to obey Washington's call not to carry out the ground attack in Rafah.

In a new report, the US Department of State estimates that the Israeli army may have used the weapons with which they supplied the Americans in a manner incompatible with international laws.

The report emphasizes that the assessment is not final and that investigations are currently being carried out on these suspicions. The term "there is reason to assess" is used there, however, it is not stated in any country that there is a violation of international laws. If this were to be said, the United States would be forced to immediately stop supplying arms to traditional ally Israel. US President Joe Biden warned on Thursday of halting arms supplies to Israel if it did not guarantee the lives of civilians in Rafah.

However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack on Rafah and the war against Hamas will be won at all costs. Evacuations from different areas of Rafah where ground troops are expected to enter continue, aerial bombardment is intense and ground troops have surrounded the city.
