There are many countries that have expressed their support for Israel, condemning the attacks by Hamas. The USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy in a joint statement have announced that they will help Israel to face the aggression of Hamas militants.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak declared that they will stand by Israel.
"The Hamas group is fully responsible for this terrible attack. They are not militants, they are not freedom fighters, they are terrorists. And I promise you, Great Britain will stop at nothing to keep you safe," he said.
On the other hand, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, condemned the Hamas attack on Israel, but said that he is deeply concerned with the complete encirclement that Israel has made of the Gaza Strip.
Turkey has also expressed its willingness to serve as a mediator between the two countries.
"I want to say that Turkey is ready for any kind of mediation, including the exchange of prisoners, if the parties request it. The destruction of Gaza by air and ground attacks, the bombing of mosques and the killing of children, women, the elderly and innocent civilians are not acceptable.
We believe that there will be no peace in the region without the establishment of an independent and sovereign state of Palestine with geographical integrity, within the borders of 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital," Erdogan said.
Meanwhile, the number of Palestinian dead after Israeli attacks has increased to 687, while the injured are 3,726. The number of Israeli victims continues to increase and has reached 900, while another 2,500 have been injured, many of them in serious condition.
