The son of notorious drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán has been extradited to the US on drug-trafficking charges, the US Attorney General has said.
Ovidio Guzmán led, along with his brother, the powerful Sinaloa drug cartel that his father founded.
Ovidio is also accused of ordering the killing of a singer who had refused to perform at his wedding.
He was arrested in January in the northern Mexican state of Sinaloa and has been in custody since then.
The Sinaloa Cartel is an international criminal organization estimated to have smuggled more than 1,000 tons of cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, and heroin into the United States.
The cartel's killers kidnapped, tortured and killed members of rival gangs to consolidate its power.
Members have also bribed high-ranking police officers and politicians in Mexico and throughout Central America to turn a blind eye to drug shipments or even tip off the cartel about impending raids.
