"There's nothing in April"/ Europe heading for fuel crisis after

The consequences of the war in the Middle East are increasingly being felt in global energy markets, causing shortages of jet fuel and oil, initially in Asia and likely soon in Europe.

The head of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, warned that the situation is serious, stressing that "the biggest problem today is the lack of jet fuel and oil."

He said the impact is already visible in Asia, while Europe could face the same scenario within a few weeks, adding that this could happen "this month or perhaps early May."

Birol explained that global supplies are running low, as in March markets were still benefiting from cargoes that had left earlier from the Middle East, but the situation has changed. “In April, there is nothing ,” Birol said.

His warnings also align with recent statements from industry and European officials, who have raised concerns about a potential energy crisis if the conflict with Iran continues.

Meanwhile, jet fuel prices have risen sharply, more than doubling since February. As a result, airlines have begun raising ticket prices and reducing flights.
