Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's wife, Mansoure Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, has died from her injuries, Sabereen News reported. The news was also reported by Iranian and Israeli media.

According to the same sources, she was in a coma following the Israeli and American strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday morning.

The bomb attack killed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several senior officials. Media reports also reported the deaths of a daughter, a nephew, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law of the family.

Who was Mansoure Khojasteh Bagherzadeh?

Mansoure Khojasteh Bagherzadeh lived largely away from the public eye and images of her in circulation are few.

She was born in 1947 and married Ali Khamenei in 1964. Her father, Mohammad Esmail Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, was known as a successful entrepreneur.

During decades of political turmoil, including the period before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, when Khamenei was arrested by the Shah's regime, she reportedly discreetly supported him.

Unlike many wives of political leaders, she did not take on public roles or official positions. Her and her family's lives were conducted away from media exposure, while Khamenei's private life remained largely shielded from public attention.

The couple had six children — four sons, Mostafa, Mojtaba, Masoud and Meisam, and two daughters, Boshra and Hoda. International media have speculated over the years about issues related to the family, but they are widely known as his children.

Of the children, Mojtaba Khamenei's name has been mentioned frequently in political analyses. Analysts have described him as the most influential figure among the brothers and have considered him a potential successor or a powerful figure behind the scenes.

He married the daughter of Iranian politician Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, strengthening ties with the Iranian political elite. Over the years, his connections to the Revolutionary Guard and high-ranking clerical networks have been reported.

Masoud Khamenei, another son, married a member of a politically connected family, reportedly related to politician Mohsen Kharazi, but has kept a lower public profile. The other children have largely stayed out of public life.

Ali Khamenei had a total of seven grandchildren. Public information about them remains limited, although the name Mohammad Bagher Khamenei has occasionally appeared in official documents.

In addition to his immediate family, Khamenei had three brothers, including Mohammad and Hadi, as well as four sisters. One of them, Badri, was reportedly exiled during the political turmoil of the 1980s.
