Iran said it had carried out attacks on Kurdish groups based in Iraq, warning the so-called "separatist groups" not to take action amid the escalating conflict in the region.
Iranian authorities said the targets of the attacks were Kurdish groups that, according to Tehran, "oppose the revolution."
The attacks were reported on Thursday, while international media have also mentioned claims that the United States is considering arming Kurdish militias to infiltrate Iran.
According to a representative of an Iranian Kurdish group in exile, one member of this group was killed in the attacks.
Iranian officials warned that they would not tolerate actions by groups they consider separatist.
"Separatist groups should not think that a light breeze has blown and try to take action," said the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, quoted by the AFP agency.
He added that Iran will not tolerate their actions in any way.
