Alexei Navalny's mother, Lyudmila, has reacted to the death of her son, stating that he was healthy when she met him 4 days ago
In a reaction on Facebook, he writes that her son was "alive, healthy and happy" when he last saw him on February 12.
"I don't want to hear any consolation ," she added.
The Russian prison service said jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny died on Friday in the Yamalo-Nenets region.
In a statement published on its website, the Federal Service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District said that Navalny "felt ill" during a walk on Friday, "lost consciousness" and then passed away.
The announcement states that the medical personnel failed to help Navalny, while work is being done to find out the cause of death.
