More than two months after the conflict began, the confrontation between the United States and Iran risks prolonging without a clear solution, leaving President Donald Trump in a more difficult political and strategic position.
According to Reuters, neither side has achieved a decisive military or diplomatic victory. Although Iran has presented a new proposal to resume negotiations, Trump has rejected it, while positions remain distant and without a clear path out of the crisis.
Analysts warn that a prolonged stalemate could have major economic consequences, including high fuel prices in the US, increasing pressure on the administration and negatively affecting political support ahead of the midterm elections.
Despite US and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, some of Trump's stated goals, including a complete ban on Iran's nuclear program and regime change, remain unfulfilled.

According to experts, this situation could lead to a "frozen conflict", where neither side reaches a final agreement, while tensions continue for a long period.
Domestically, Trump faces declining public support and rising fuel prices, while European allies express concern about the consequences of the conflict and the lack of coordination.
In this context, the future of the conflict remains unclear, while both the US and Iran appear to be preparing for a prolonged confrontation, with far-reaching consequences for the region and the global economy.
