The British government imposed another package of sanctions against Russia. The package includes 22 sanctions against individuals and businesses outside Russia that support its war against Ukraine, as well as three Russian companies that import electronics vital to Russian military equipment used on the battlefield, according to the UK Foreign Office.
The statement said the UK is "addressing Iranian and Belarusian support" for Russia's war, as the new sanctions also include Iranian individuals and entities involved in the research, development and production of drones, and Belarusian defense organizations linked to the production. of military technology.
"Today's sanctions will further reduce Russia's arsenal and close the supply chain network that supports Putin's now-struggling defense industry," Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said in a statement.
"Those who support Russia's military machinery have nowhere to hide," he added.
The Foreign Office pledged to work together with international partners to prevent third parties from supplying Russia with arms.
