
Turkish authorities have arrested 234 people in a coordinated operation with four European countries against drug trafficking organizations.
Police teams from Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Turkey executed coordinated operations, arresting people suspected of involvement in schemes for the production and trafficking of cocaine, heroin and other narcotics.
Hundreds of properties, cars, company shares and bank accounts worth $341 million were seized during the operation. Turkish police had been cooperating for eight months with the European Union agency, Europol, to uncover the locations, decipher the secrets, contacts and methods of the organization, Yerlikaya added.
