The Ukrainian parliament has passed a law restoring the independence of the anti-corruption agencies NABU and SAPO.
This was reported by the RBC Ukraine news agency. 331 deputies voted in favor of adopting the law.
But during the session, there were tensions between deputies, even exchanges of punches.
As reported by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the European Solidarity party, the clash occurred between two parliamentarians from the Servant of the People party, Vladlen Neklyudov and Gennady Kasai.

The law concerns the restoration of the independence of the anti-corruption agencies Nabu and Sapo.
The proposal was introduced following protests following the approval on July 22 of a draft law that limited the work of anti-corruption bodies and subordinated them to the Prosecutor General.
Dozens of people gathered near the Ukrainian parliament to demand the restoration of the independence of the two agencies. Protesters are chanting slogans such as "Independence for Nabu and Sapo."
