After India, where 8 people were killed as a result of a car explosion, a similar event has occurred in Pakistan.
A car bomb exploded outside a courthouse in Islamabad, killing five people and wounding 13 others.
According to Pakistani media, the victims were mostly passersby or those who had arrived for court hearings.
State media reported that the explosion, which was heard miles away, also damaged several vehicles parked outside the courthouse, which is usually packed with hundreds of visitors attending hearings.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast. Pakistan has been grappling with militant attacks and a resurgence of the Pakistani Taliban.
