After the US, the EU declares Aleksandar Vulin 'non grata'

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin told RIA Novosti that the European Union has imposed sanctions on him, banning him from entering EU countries.

"There was no controversy over the truth I told. They simply had some comments about me personally, held a meeting at the highest level of their countries' foreign ministries and decided to ban me from entering EU countries," Vulin said.

According to him, in this way the EU has responded to his statements in the European Parliament.

"At a meeting of the EU Council working group on the Eastern Partnership, the European Commission's Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, or practically their Ministry of Foreign Affairs, proposed the introduction of sanctions due to "Russian destabilizing actions," he added.

Vulin also stated that he really didn't know what the outcome of all this was, that he hadn't been informed, but that he knew what had been proposed.

He recalled that he was under US sanctions, and had already been used for pressure, RT Balkan reports.
