
The time the US Coast Guard predicted that oxygen supplies aboard the Titan has run out. The agency said yesterday that the air supply inside the submersible would run out today at 12:08 UK time, Sky News reports .
It is important to note that the exact situation on the ship is unknown and experts have said that predictions about supplies are "inaccurate estimates".
Titan was estimated to have a 96-hour supply of oxygen when it began its journey.
A French research vessel is preparing its robot to enter the deep sea, the US Coast Guard said in its first update on the search operation since last night. The vehicle is already searching the bottom of the sea.
In a few short tweets, the agency confirmed that L'Atalante had arrived at the search site and was preparing the remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
The Canadian vessel Horizon Arctic also deployed its ROV "which reached the sea floor and began its search for the missing submarine," the Coast Guard said.
A British submarine, as well as equipment from a British company, have been dispatched to help search for Titan.
A British C-17 aircraft will also transport "specialized commercial equipment" provided by UK-based Magellan in St John's, Newfoundland.
