
The Belarusian government has introduced changes to the country's criminal code to include chemical castration for pedophiles, as well as stricter monitoring.
The Attorney General's Office announced the move Monday in a Telegram post, stating that, in addition to any court sentence, those found guilty of sex offenses involving children will receive "mandatory pedophilia treatment." .
The Ministry of Health of Belarus has developed a "clinical protocol containing an algorithm for the treatment of pedophilia, including the use of chemical castration," the statement continued, also strengthening rehabilitation and resources for victims.
