The balance of victims from floods in Greece has increased. Greek media reports that 14 deaths have been confirmed after the storm and floods in the Thessaly region.
The last bodies that were found dead are an 88-year-old woman and her 65-year-old son. The Greek authorities say that the toll will rise even further, as there are 3 more people missing from storm Daniel.
Rescue operations continue intensively in the flooded areas in central Greece.
Since Monday evening (04.09.2023) Greece was affected by the low pressure storm that caused heavy rainfall. On Wednesday evening, "Daniel" arrived in the African region, causing flooding in several subway stations in Athens.
