The director of a prison in a region of Ecuador was killed in an armed attack, while two other employees were injured.
The attack targeted a vehicle carrying public officials in Soukubios province.
Alex Guevara, the director of the Succubus 1 prison, "unfortunately passed away", after not escaping his injuries, while his two companions were injured, foreign media reports.
