Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released new photos today from Jeffrey Epstein's "hell island," which show many powerful figures who belonged to the circle of the deceased, who was accused of sex trafficking of minors, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Bill Gates, Richard Brunson and others.
Lawmakers say the images come from a set of 95,000 photos that the heirs to the estate produced for the Commission, including images of "rich and powerful men who spent time with Jeffrey Epstein".
Many of them had previously been associated with Epstein, although the photos may shed new light on the extent and depth of the connections these people had with each other.
In total, the 19 images, which the committee says come from Epstein's island, reinforce the view that the financier had past relationships with many famous and influential figures, whose relationships with him are being carefully scrutinized.
One image shows a bowl filled with the new condoms, with the packages bearing a caricature of Trump's face. The bowl has a sign that says "Trump Condoms, $4.50" and each one has a picture of Trump's face with the text: "I'm GIANT."
Another image showed Trump with six women wearing flower crowns, their faces covered by the committee.
Other photos include Steve Bannon and Epstein posing in a mirror, Bill Clinton with Epstein, Maxwell and another couple, and tech billionaire Bill Gates with his ex-husband, Prince Andrew.
Former Treasury Secretary and former Harvard president Larry Summers and attorney Alan Dershowitz also appear in photos from the residence.
None of the published images depict sexual abuse, nor are they believed to depict underage girls.
The Republican-led committee obtained the images from Epstein's estate as part of its ongoing investigation. So far, the committee has released tens of thousands of documents, emails and communications it obtained from Epstein's estate, which continue to open new avenues for the investigation.
On Thursday, lawyers for the estate wrote a letter to the committee, noting that they could review the videos and photos they had requested "taken at any property owned, leased, operated or used by Epstein from January 1, 1990, to August 10, 2019."
"Like yesterday's production, it also includes documents that may not be relevant, but the heirs have been unable to confirm whether they were made at a property owned, leased, operated or used by Epstein."
Clinton has never been charged by authorities with any wrongdoing related to Epstein, and a spokesman for him has repeatedly stressed that he severed ties with the deceased before his arrest on federal charges in 2019 and that he was unaware of the crimes he allegedly committed.
A spokesman for Bill Gates has repeatedly denied that Epstein ever worked for him. Gates has previously said he regrets meeting Epstein, saying in 2021 that "it was a big mistake to spend time with him, to give him the credibility of being there."
