The protest of Greek farmers continues again, while the Kakavija-Ioannina axis is blocked.
According to the police, the Kakavija-Ioannina road axis will not be functional for vehicle traffic from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Albanian time).
The Kakavija border police announce that only the movement of vehicles for health emergencies will be allowed.
"The Kakavija Border Police, through the Kakavija Joint Information Exchange Center, has been notified by the Greek Border Police that today, from 19:00 to 22:00 (Greek time), the Kakavija-Ioannina road axis, at the intersection of the village of Kallpaq, will be blocked due to the protest that farmers will hold. Only vehicles with health emergencies will be allowed to circulate," the police announced today.
The Kakavija Border Police asks for citizens' understanding and suggests planning vehicle trips at other times of the day.
Greece has been paralysed by protests by farmers who have blocked national roads over delays in EU subsidies following a corruption scandal. They are determined to continue and intensify their protests if their demands are not met by the government.
