Anti-regime protests in Iran enter 5th day; security forces open fire on

The nationwide uprising in Iran has entered its fifth day, with clashes between protesters and regime forces on the streets of various cities and at universities. The protests have spread to several cities including Lordegan, Marvdasht, Kermanshah, Delfan and Arak.

Two protesters were killed by direct fire from repressive forces in Lordegan, while the IRGC news agency reports heavy damage to government buildings.

In Lordegan, in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, citizens gathered to protest in the early hours of the morning, chanting "Death to the dictator" and "Death to Khamenei," and were brutally attacked by repressive forces.

Protesters defended themselves as forces opened direct fire on the demonstrators. At least two protesters were killed and several others were wounded. The IRGC’s Fars News Agency wrote that “people began throwing stones at the city’s administrative buildings, including the governor’s office, the city prayer hall, the Martyrs’ Foundation, the city hall and banks, and then headed towards the governor’s office.”

Police forces used tear gas to disperse the individuals. The buildings of the Martyrs Foundation, the prayer hall, the governor's office, the judiciary and several banks suffered heavy damage. An informed source reports the death of two people during these clashes.”

In Tehran, this morning, fruit sellers in the District 19 fruit and vegetable market held a rally and march, chanting “Honest traders, support us, support us” and “Shut up, shut up,” calling on others to continue the strike.

The State Security Forces (SSF) used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, leading to clashes.

In Marvdasht, rallies and clashes began this morning on Enghelab Street. The repressive forces used water cannons to confront the citizens, but the protesters continued the demonstration, chanting slogans such as “Cannons, tanks, fireworks, the mullahs must go” and “This is the month of blood, Seyyed Ali [Khamenei] will be overthrown.” During these protests, angry youths set fire to a State Security Forces vehicle.

In Kermanshah, large demonstrations began in the Silo, Ojagh and Modares Crossing areas, with a large crowd heading towards Azadi Square (Garage Square).

SSF agents clashed with citizens and the cry of "Shameless, shameless" echoed in Azadi Square.
