Putin sides with Trump: We support US plan for Gaza 

The Kremlin said on Tuesday it supports US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza.

"Russia always supports and welcomes any efforts by President Trump aimed at putting an end to this ongoing tragedy," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, including AFP, in a daily briefing call.

"Of course, we want this plan to be implemented and for it to help bring about a peaceful conclusion to events in the Middle East," he added.

Europe also welcomed Trump's plan for Gaza.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday that she welcomes US President Donald Trump's peace proposal to end the war in Gaza.

"I welcome President @realDonaldTrump's commitment to ending the war in Gaza. I encourage all parties to seize this opportunity now. The EU stands ready to contribute," she wrote on X.
