To prevent this false and deceptive logic from becoming dominant, we must tirelessly, resolutely and consistently refuse to accept any kind of nuclear blackmail. We are not afraid of the so-called "army no. 2 of the world", nor of Putin, the bunker rat and his nuclear club. We are afraid of only one thing: to lose our freedom and we will go to the end of the fight for it...
Recently I had a very interesting and in my opinion very significant conversation with a Western journalist. The questions, but also his reaction to my answers, are a perfect example of a new "peacemaker" line that is starting to develop in the Western media space.
I do not claim that journalists deliberately become collaborators of the Russian information campaign. But that this new line goes mainly in favor of Russia is an indisputable fact.
While discussing the events of the war, I stated, among other things, that Ukraine will never sit down at the negotiating table with the murderer of more than 500 Ukrainian children, and that on the other hand, we are outraged and cannot understand how other countries can communicate with a war criminal.
The journalist in question objected, arguing that continuing the war would cause even more casualties.
For him, it was important to remember that Vladimir Putin could use his nuclear arsenal at any moment. As a result of such "logical" reasoning, the journalist insisted that the most obvious necessity was to find a compromise.
Convenience and security
My first response to such an idea was that if the world had reacted in time to Adolf Hitler's attack on Poland in 1939, there would not have been some 20 million victims of World War II. But you cannot compromise with an aggressor; they must be punished without any reservation.
But, and this is perhaps most important, such questions and reasoning about the possible use of nuclear weapons by Putin are very manipulative. They mean that a country that does not possess nuclear weapons cannot and should not resist one that does.
According to this logic, a country that is the object of an attack by a nuclear state provokes the threat of a nuclear apocalypse by its very resistance. And in such a case, the object of punishment is not the aggressor, but the victim.
What they are saying is: “Surrender and do not resist. We don't need your freedom, but our comfort and safety." They will try to popularize this opinion as much as possible to reject the support for Ukraine, which with its actions, according to them, is constantly "provoking" Russia.
A deceptive logic
Ukraine did not feed this monster in Moscow. But this is already a matter of history, and the current task is to create a mechanism that will protect humanity from the threat of nuclear madness. Therefore, the Kremlin's nuclear folly is not only a problem for Ukraine, but also for the world. /Taken and adapted from "Worldcrunch"
